Voices

I've just been lounging in bed and the new Annie Lennox track was played on the radio. The opening verse of that made my arms come up in goosebumps. Its like the advert for Clover that's been on cable recently along the lines of the Wild Rover theme tune - a piece of music that stops me, makes me listen and spreads goosebumps. There is some classical music that does it as well. If I went back through all of my music I could find a lot of short pieces that do it. I was just wondering what you had heard recently that set you off like that - pieces of music from TV or radio that hit you somewhere and hold you to them. As far as TV advertising goes both the Young's ad for Fishies in Dishies and the old Heinz ads with african male voices set me off too.

The music for the Imperial Cancer ads. I HATE the ads with passion. I can't even bear to watch the one where the girl's on her wedding day and her dad looks over her shoulder, it breaks me every time but I do like the music.
The music for those ads come from an album by Peter Gabriel called 'Passion'. Its the score for the film, 'The Last Temptation of Christ'. That music has moved me for many years and reminds me deeply of my first serious boyfriend who had an incredible music collection and good taste (much better than mine!)
